Meet the Couple
Matthew and Annikka’s love story began in an unexpected place—while working together as housekeepers at Boyd’s Mason Lake Resort in Fifield, Wisconsin. What started as a workplace friendship quickly grew into something much more, built on laughter, shared experiences, and countless memories.
Over the years, their relationship continued to flourish, leading them to build a life together in Sussex, Wisconsin.
The “Yes!” Moment
Matthew recreated one of the most meaningful moments from their first date by taking Annikka stargazing. As the song “Champagne Supernova” played, the two shared a slow dance together. After their dance, at Village Park in Sussex, where they now live together, Matthew got down on one knee and asked Annikka to marry him.
The Day We Said “I Do”
Matthew and Annikka were married on June 6, 2026, surrounded by their family and friends. Their wedding featured a beautiful navy, jewel-tone, and gold color palette that reflected their elegant style.
When asked about their favorite part of the day, they both agreed it was celebrating at the reception—dancing, laughing, and making memories with the people they love most.
