Alpine Valley Resort's enthusiastic Children's Ski & Snowboard Instructors are trained specifically in techniques for teaching children how to ski/snowboard and instilling a love for the sport in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
Times For All Children's Programs Group Lessons

- Weekends and Hoilidays: Morning Lesson 9:00 am to 11:00 am, 2 hours.
- Weekends and Holidays: Afternoon Lesson 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, 2 hours.
Beginner Kinder Kids Group Lesson – First-time Skier ages 5-7
- Introduction to the sport of Skiing
- Learn how to put skis on and take off by themselves
- Learn how to control speed, glide, and stop
- Learn how to make controlled wedge turns on the beginner hill
- Learn how to ride the wonder-carpet conveyor lifts
- $100.00 per child for a 2-hour lesson only.
- Cancellation Fee $20.00 per child.
- Select a Morning Lesson 9:00 to 11:00 am or Afternoon Lesson 12:00 to 2:00 pm
- Additional Costs (Available in Lift Ticket Room)
- Beginner Area half day lift ticket for 5 yrs old $26.00 includes helmets. Access to moving carpets only.
- Children must be present at the time of purchase.
- Beginner Area half day lift ticket 6 -7 yrs old $52.00 access to moving carpets only.
- All Area Half Day Lift Ticket $76.00 access to all chair lifts.
- Rentals $47.00 half day.
- Helmet $15.00 (Highly Suggested)

Does my child need a lift ticket and does the lesson price include lift ticket and rentals?
-Lift tickets are required to be able to participate in the lesson. Lift tickets and rentals are not included in the base lesson price and are an additional cost (see above).
What lesson is recommended after participating in the Kinder Kids Group Lesson?
-Given their age, most students can repeat Kinder Kids and it is a great way to reinforce the basics of safety, fun and learning while building confidence in their abilities.
Beginner Adventure Kids Group Lesson - First-time Skier ages 8-12

- Learn how to carry equipment, control speed, glide, and stop
- Learn how to make controlled wedge turns on the beginner hill
- Learn how to ride the wonder-carpet conveyor lifts and potentially the beginner chair lifts

-Following Adventure Kids we recommend students take our #LetsMakeSomeTurns Intermediate Ski Lesson. This class will enhance the students turning skills.
#LetsMakeSomeTurns Intermediate Group Ski Lesson - ages 8-12
- If you already know how to stop and make wedge turns this is the lesson for you!
- Works on improving turning skills
- Student must be able to ride chairlift by themselves and have skied during the current winter season
- $100.00 per child for a 2-hour lesson only.
- Cancellation Fee $20.00 per child.
- Select a Morning Lesson 9:00 to 11:00 am or Afternoon Lesson 12:00 to 2:00 pm

Beginner Adventure Riders Group Lesson – First-time Snowboarder ages 8-12
- Introduction to the sport of Snowboarding
- Learn how to balance, skate, edge, straight glide, side-slip heel/toe edge, J-turns and stop
- Introduce a skidded traverse and the floating leaf maneuver
- Learn how to ride the wonder-carpet conveyor lifts and potentially the beginner chair lifts
- $100.00 per child for a 2-hour lesson only.
- Cancellation Fee $20.00 per child.
